This little corner of the internet, KassiElla, has provided my heart with more happiness than I ever could have hoped for. On a lazy Sunday afternoon back in November 2013, I decided to venture into the world of blogging. In the beginning, this blog acted as a diary to document my life away from home whilst I explored a brand new city, but it has become so much more than that. It's a safe place where I can be unapologetically me, and it has brought so many wonders to me throughout the last two and a half years. If you're considering whether to begin your own blog, I hope the following reasons push you to the right side of the fence.

- I am constantly reminded of everything that I love about the world
Having a creative outlet allows me to discuss anything that I want, whenever I want to. Whether it's a product review, a wish list, a round up of all my favourite Pinterest posts, or simply an overview of my week, I have the constant power to discuss my happiness. You would not believe the effect that writing about the things that you love can have on your well-being, and it certainly has helped develop myself as a stronger person.

- I have a (not so) valid excuse to treat myself to new goodies 'because it's for the blog'
I try to make every other post one that includes my own photography, and this is honestly more challenging than I ever would have thought. Having to find things to photograph, however, often leads to new purchases. Although it's a silly excuse, I wouldn't own a lot of my favourite possessions had it not been for that one tempting line. My make up collection thanks you!

- It will only improve my chance of achieving the goal of my dream job
Although this blog is my hobby and I have it out of a pure love for writing, there is no doubt that it'll be a contributing factor of getting my dream job. Running a blog for almost three years shows a lot of willpower, determination, and commitment! As the writing and editing industry is the career path that I would love to follow, having a platform to practice my skills makes me even more excited for my life to begin.

- In 20 years time, I will look back and smile at all of the memories that I created
Who knows where I'll be in 20 years time; I may even still be writing this blog! Regardless, it'll be such a wonderful thing to be able to read back through some of my older posts when I'm much further into my life. It'll be something that I can share with my kids, and it'll be something that I will always be extremely proud of.

- And most of all, it has connected me with similar people, and has brought me fantastic friends
The all time best thing about having a blog, for me, is the incredible friendships that it has provided me with. I have quite a few friends within the blogging community itself, and it brings me so much happiness to connect with people that think and feel the same way that I do. Outside of fellow bloggers, it has made quite a lot of my friendships stronger. Some of the people that I speak to on a daily basis are people that I barely knew before I took over this little corner of the internet, and for that I will be forever grateful.

So what are you waiting for??? Open up blogspot or wordpress (if you're serious about starting a blog, definitely begin with wordpress), and start writing! What are you favourite reasons for having a blog?
